THE PLOT:

We all wondered if there is life in the universe. We are about to find out. As the underground dwellers of Mars have arrived on Earth in the name of Peace. But what incideous plans to they have cooking under the guise of peace? For they attack the first meeting because of a bird.

The plot was to destroy the Human Race under the veil of peace. But the President keeps buying the "WE COME IN PEACE" trick and it just may be the end of the human race.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

This is a dark comedy, science fiction. Plenty of humor and dark humor and Hollywood's A list was lining up to be shot down by these odd looking aliens. Why don't they have lips? Pierce Brosnan was the brillant as the Scientist that thinks he can deduce what the aliens are like, but really is completely in the dark. In fact the whole cast is great in this knock out comedy that may be alittle too dark for some and many thought it was like ID4, but it's not like ID4, it's a comedy. It was suppose to be silly, and goofy. The effects were great. Cool, if strange looking aliens, the ships look great. It mainly mirrors "EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS" in many of the major plot points. So if you've seen EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS, then you know what basically will happen. But that doesn't spoil the experence. It's a cool movie, with lots of fun to be have. It's underrated and deserves more then it got. I give it...9 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd on some of what he wrote. The effects and the creature design. But there are some major flaws in this film. The Government for one. There's a old expression that aplies that I will paraphrase. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice and I must be a complete moron!" No way would the President be so stupid to fall for the peace ploy after the first time. Not going to happen. Well maybe George W. Bush, but no one with a brain. I give MARS ATTACKS...7 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ EFFECTS (The effects were assume.)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creatures were strange but very cool.)
+ CAST (Hollywood's A-List lines up to die.)
+ CHARACTERS (For the most part the characters were likable.)
+ HUMOR (Very funny, dark. But funny.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- STUPID PRESIDENT (To get fooled as many time as he is in this movie, his brain must be parked somewhere else.)

...AND FINALLY...

- TOO DARK (Some might think the humor is too dark.)
