THE PLOT:
A normal evening and a once in a lifetime chance to see a rare meteor shower. But the next morning almost the entire world
is blinded by the light of the meteors. The world is in chaos and only a handful of people can see. Two such people try
to find any help they can find.
But along with blindness came a deadlier threat to the world, alien plants that have been dubbed Triffids by the one that
landed here years before. Also blind the Triffids are attracted by loud noices. Can the world affoid the creature plants
from space?
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I must say I enjoyed this movie. I just hope that this never happens, the concept of a giant meteor shower that has the power
to blind the world is scarily real. I also liked the Triffid monsters, first beautiful, then hideous. The cast does a great
job, the effects for the time peroid is incredible. Leave it to the British, there is only two
kinds of British Science Fiction/Horror great and rotten and this is just great. A little sluggish at points and characters.
The characters were wll written and likable, the concept is cool and all and all the whole movie is a buried treasure. I give
it...9 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I am complete agreement with Zedd on this one, it's very good. The effects are excellent, this is going on a top 100 best
science fiction films of all time. I too give it 9 STARS

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (It's so cool and frightening.)
+ CHARACTERS (The characters were well written.)
+ ACTING (There is some very good acting in this one.)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (Some of the most unique creature effects I've seen.)
...AND FINALLY...
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SLOW (It does get draggy at times.)
