THE PLOT:
A strange meteor crash lands in the woods near the home of Charles and Pete. It contains a strange alien creature who starts
to feed and create more of the deadly spawn. She hides out in Charles and Pete's basement.
Meanwhile Charles prepares for a all night study session with his friends when he parents are out of town. But little
that he knows that they never made it to the car alive. Now it's a fight just to stay alive and escape the horde of blind
monsters that is invading their house.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I got to admit I was apprehensive about DEADLY SPAWN, consider when it was released. But I got to admit I was surprised on
how well it came out. There is this one season when they checked on an adult, I forget who it was and there were baby Spawn
inside his body. The blood color was a little off, but the body looked so real it was scary. The gore effects are amazing,
the story works and the creature is unique. But I do have to point out a character flaw in Charles. Only a complete idiot
would still deny alien life when it's trying to rip your head off. But he does, as a famous character said once, "You're
not a skeptic, you're in denial." But that is a small complaint compared to the whole movie. They might have tried to
steal thunder from ALIENS but this movie can stand on it's own. 9 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd for the most part. But that older brother's attitude is just bordering on insanity. I mean really, he
sees a monster from outer space and all he can do is stand there and scream "YOU DON'T EXIST!" That's crazy talk!

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The story works, well.)
+ CAST (The cast does a pretty decent job.)
+ EFFECTS (The crown of the movie, most realistic effects ever in this time period. Even if the blood was a little off
in color.)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creature effects are cool. I love the strange twisted design.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- CHARLES (Gets annoying with his ALIENS DON'T EXIST, and he calls himself a scientist.)
- BLOOD (The blood is slightly off color. Too much orange.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you not a big fan of man eating monsters from space, then this isn't for you.)
